Waterlase Dental Laser

Fear and anxiety, from mild to severe, is quite real for some folks and can be a barrier to seeking dental treatment. Studies show that as many as 75% of adults in the U.S. experience some degree of dental fear. Drills, needles and numb lips can prevent people from taking a positive, proactive approach to oral health.

Waterlase Dentistry uses laser energy and a gentle spray of water to perform a wide range of dental procedures – without the heat, vibration and pressure associated with the dental drill. With many procedures, it’s possible to use less anesthetic, and often no anesthetic at all. Patients experience the  Waterlase system as more comfortable, convenient and less invasive.

Dental procedures that require the removal of metal restorations cannot be done with the laser but many other procedures like bonded fillings and gum or periodontal treatments can.
